i. Biography
Thomas Dorfer is an Austrian chef at Landhaus Bacher in Mautern an der Donau, where he has served as kitchen chef since 2010 after joining the restaurant in 1996 and returning in 2002. He was named Gault&Millau Chef of the Year in 2009, and in 2025 Landhaus Bacher received 2 Michelin stars under his leadership. He is also associated with the restaurant’s continuation of the Wagner-Bacher family legacy in the Wachau region.
