i. Biography
Thomas Sühring is a German chef and co-founder of Sühring in Bangkok, a modern German restaurant opened in March 2016. He and his twin brother Mathias have been in Thailand since 2008, first leading Mezzaluna at the State Tower before launching their own restaurant; Sühring later earned Michelin recognition, including three stars in the Michelin Guide Thailand 2026 coverage. The restaurant’s concept centers on modern German fare rooted in childhood memories, family recipes, and traditional preservation techniques such as fermentation, pickling, smoking, drying, and curing.
