Yuan Chaoying

Yuan Chaoying is Shangri-La's Area Executive Chef for Beijing Cuisine at The Horizon Chinese Restaurant in Beijing, where he is identified as an inheritor of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Beijing Roast Duck Craftsmanship. He has more than 40 years of culinary experience and has held key roles at Quanjude Roast Duck Restaurant and Yayuan Roast Duck Restaurant. He is especially known for Peking roast duck and for promoting it internationally through travel to Japan, Germany, the Philippines, and France.
