Yuzo Nakao is the chef and owner of Mirei in Kyoto’s Nakagyo Ward, where he has run the restaurant since 2016 with an à la carte format uncommon in Kyoto kaiseki dining. Nakao is building a menu shaped by his Nagasaki background and Western cultural influence.
