    139 Plots, Separate Wines

Champagne A. Bergère works 45 hectares divided into 139 vineyard plots. Most lie in the Vallée du Petit Morin near the family's Fèrebrianges base; the balance reaches the Sézannais and the Côte des Blancs. Chardonnay accounts for most of the planted area, alongside Pinot Noir and Meunier.

    From parcel to assemblage

Albert Bergère founded the house in 1949, building on family winegrowing roots recorded from 1848. When Adrien joined the domaine as winemaker in 2014, separate vinification of individual plots became central to its work. He blind-tastes the wines plot by plot before deciding the blends. Fermentation can occur spontaneously or with yeasts selected from the estate's vineyards, and ageing vessels include steel, barrels and foudres.

The public route into the work

The Épernay boutique and tasting room at 38-40 Avenue de Champagne welcome visitors year-round. By reservation, the house also takes guests to its Fèrebrianges vineyards and cellars before a three-wine tasting, or through the Côte des Blancs for a shorter Grand Cru tour with a Blanc de Blancs pour at a viewpoint.
