Moët & Chandon

Moët & Chandon’s scale can be stated plainly: La Fête du Champagne lists 1,190 hectares of vineyards, and the producer describes a 28-kilometre cellar network below Épernay. Claude Moët founded the house in 1743; Benoît Gouez has led its cellar since 2005.

Blend against vintage

The current Signature visit makes the comparison tangible by pouring Moët Impérial beside a Grand Vintage Blanc. The producer describes Impérial as a blend of more than 100 wines, while Grand Vintage is an interpretation of one year. A separate vintage tour compares white and rosé releases. These are defined tastings, not a promise that visitors see production or blending rooms.

The visitor format

Moët offers guided cellar tours and publishes the tasting lineup, duration and booking availability for each. The underground route is cool and partly on foot, with an accessible lift option described by the producer. Choose the particular tour according to whether the interest is house blend, rosé or vintage expression.
