Domaine William Fèvre's work starts with breadth of site: 70 hectares in Chablis, including 15.9 hectares of Premier Cru and 15.2 hectares of Grand Cru vines. William Fèvre declared its first crop in 1959, and the estate joined Domaines Barons de Rothschild (Lafite) in 2024.
Oak as a quiet vessel
The domaine says it avoids new barrels and instead uses seasoned wood averaging six years old. The aim is to retain freshness and mineral character while allowing each Chablis vineyard to speak.
