Quinta da Chocapalha is the Tavares da Silva family's wine estate in the rolling country of Aldeia Galega da Merceana, about 50 minutes from Lisbon. Alice and Paulo Tavares da Silva began rebuilding the property as a family wine project in 1987. Today the estate joins tradition and modern viticulture, farms with an emphasis on vine health and longevity, and produces elegant, age-worthy wines shaped by its terroir.
