i. Biography
Alain Carrère is the co-founder and proprietor of Domaine de Majas in Caudiès-de-Fenouillèdes, Roussillon, where he and his wife Agnès have run the estate since 1992. He is a local producer who inherited vineyard land from his father and built Domaine de Majas from an initial 2 hectares into a larger organic estate, with production shifting to organic viticulture in 2007.
