The work is defined in practical terms: wines shaped for the current palate, using modern winemaking techniques and the development of the terroirs the winery has today. The line from training to cellar is direct. At Facultad Don Bosco, Riofr was grounded in the discipline and repetition that support long-term winemaking. She entered the trade in 2008 as pasante at Grupo Peñaflor, where the pace was the ordinary one of cellar work: learning by doing, taking instruction from process, and building judgment through repetition.

Where They Are Now

Winemaking at Navarro Correas since 2019 has meant both product and brand responsibility for Alejandra Riofr in Mendoza, Argentina. She describes that scope plainly: “I am the winemaker of the Navarro Correas winery since 2019, and I have been in charge of the winery and the brand.” In trade terms, that is a broader assignment than cellars alone; it includes the identity carried by the name on the label. At Bodega Navarro Correas, the emphasis is on adjustment without break. Riofr’s method keeps the house moving toward contemporary taste while preserving the structural expectations associated with the brand. The wines are being reworked for the present tense, but not stripped of their lineage.
