i. Biography
Allison Vines-Rushing is a Louisiana-born chef who trained in New Orleans under Chef Gerard Maras at Gerard’s Downtown before working in New York for Terrance Brennan at Picholine and Alain Ducasse at the Essex House Hotel. She later became executive chef of Jack’s Luxury Oyster Bar, where her French-inspired Southern cooking earned her the James Beard Rising Star Chef Award in 2004, and she co-opened MiLa in New Orleans with her husband Slade Rushing.
