Almudena Calvo is Technical Director of Pago de Carraovejas. She joined the estate's technical team in 2003, later took its leadership and in 2015 also assumed technical direction of the family's Ossian pre-phylloxera Verdejo project. Her work has been recognized by Spanish wine-industry publications.
