Amanda Decker-Penton is the Managing Director of Fogo Island Inn in Joe Batt’s Arm, Newfoundland and Labrador, and has been described by Fogo Island Inn and Shorefast as part of the leadership team guiding the guest experience and Shorefast-related hospitality initiatives. Shorefast says she was born and raised on Fogo Island and came home in 2012 after working in nursing in northern Canada and rural hospital settings, then shifted into hospitality with Fogo Island Inn. In April 2025, Fogo Island Inn announced her appointment as Innkeeper and Vice President, Hospitality, while a later host page also lists her as Innkeeper and Director, Guest Services, showing a role transition across the organization.
