i. Biography
Andrea Kracht is the owner of Baur au Lac in Zurich and has been publicly identified as leading the hotel since 1990. He is a sixth-generation representative of the Kracht family at the historic property, which was founded in 1844, and in 2022 began working in management and strategic direction with his daughter Marguita as she prepared to take over leadership in the seventh generation. He also held senior leadership roles within The Leading Hotels of the World, including chairman of its Executive Committee from 2010 to 2022.
