The vineyards of Bortolin Angelo Spumanti are part of the daily work that Angelo tends in Valdobbiadene. That labor begins in the rows, where fruit is handled by hand and the shape of the finished sparkling wines is already being set before anything reaches the cellar.

The Work Today

The house says its wines carry the highest residual sugar in the range, which places them naturally at the end of a meal or alongside dessert. On paper, that is a technical detail; in the house’s own terms, it becomes a marker of identity, a family point of reference, and a way of turning method into something recognizable. “We have a mission. Let everyone know our identity.” With Angelo Bortolin, the line reads less like branding than a work statement. The identity is specific: Valdobbiadene, DOCG sparkling wine, vineyards worked by hand, and a father’s name carried in the glass. The strength is in that narrowness, in bottles that speak plainly about where they are made and why.

Signature

Angelo's signature wines include Valdobbiadene DOCG Extra Dry, Valdobbiadene DOCG "Desiderio" - Dry, Valdobbiadene DOCG Rive di Guia "Angelin Beo" - Extra Brut, and Valdobbiadene D.O.C.G. Extra Dry fondo bianco. Together they map a house style that moves across sweetness and structure while staying tied to the same landscape and the same discipline.

Let everyone know our identity.” Read together, the two lines set the terms of the work: respect for place, and recognition earned through clarity rather than noise. The vineyards and the sparkling wine are treated as one continuous practice, with the name preserved through use.
