    Coming Up

Tokaji gives the winemaker little room for vagueness, and since 2003 Attila Domokos has worked at Dobogó Pincészet in that exacting register. The cellar’s language runs on two terms: dry wines for line and lift, aszú for depth and sweetness. In both, the work reads as precision rather than volume, with Furmint—especially selections from Betsek—used to bring structure and tension into focus.

    Where They Are Now

A single cellar, held across more than two decades, has given Attila Domokos a stable frame at Dobogó Pincészet. That continuity matters in Tokaj, where grape, parcel, and harvest condition can change the character of a wine quickly. The range stays disciplined: basic Furmint, sometimes selected from Betsek, alongside aszú wines. The dry bottlings move with directness and purity; the aszú wines carry the layered sweetness and patience associated with the region. The throughline is clarity, with place allowed to speak in measured steps.

    Signature

Tokaji Aszú 6 Puttonyos, Mylitta Noble Late Harvest, and Tokaj Furmint sit at the center of Attila Domokos’s range. Each works inside Tokaji tradition, but each also shows the house’s disciplined shape at Dobogó Pincészet. Tokaji Aszú 6 Puttonyos carries the region’s recognized richness; Mylitta Noble Late Harvest shifts into a softer, more perfumed register; and Tokaj Furmint shows the taut, focused side of the cellar. Read together, they map a winemaker committed to nuance within a single region.

In Their Words "I'm even happier with a gold for a dry wine than with the Platinum we earlier got for an Aszú."

    Honors

Recognition is framed here by the contrast between dry wine and aszú. "I'm even happier with a gold for a dry wine than with the Platinum we earlier got for an Aszú," Attila Domokos says, and the line is less about ranking trophies than about where value sits in the cellar. That preference points to the priorities underneath the work: balance, precision, and the view that Tokaj’s standards are set across more than one expression.
