i. Biography
Caro Maurer MW is a German wine journalist and educator based in Bonn who became the first woman from the German-speaking world to earn the Master of Wine title in 2011. She works as a freelance journalist, teaches at a wine academy, moderates seminars for professionals, and advises Edeka on wine. The Institute of Masters of Wine also confirms she passed the MW exam in 2011 and is based in Germany.
