i. Biography
Celeste Borel is owner and innkeeper of L'Auberge Provençale, the French country inn and restaurant she opened with her husband, chef Alain Borel, in White Post, Virginia, in July 1981. A New Jersey-born baker who also worked in emergency rooms, she met Alain in Key West before they moved to Virginia in 1980. She leads hospitality and the guest experience at the family-run inn.
