David Rodríguez García

David Rodríguez García is Patrón’s Master Distiller and the first employee hired at the Hacienda Patrón facility, where he now leads Patrón Spirits Mexico’s distillery operations and logistics offices in Guadalajara. Patrón says he had already spent nearly 18 years stewarding the brand before being promoted in August 2020, and that he had worked alongside longtime master distiller Francisco Alcaraz to produce and approve every batch leaving the Jalisco distillery. Prior to Patrón, he worked at the Tequila Regulatory Council (CRT), where he helped develop tequila verification procedures now in use, and he holds degrees in biology and business.
