The Path
Before Édouard Lepesme entered the cellar, the trade taught him wine from the outside in. Until 2011, he worked as a marketing and commercial specialist in the wine industry, handling the way wine is positioned, priced, and moved into the market. That commercial background gave him a working sense of how value is built around a bottle as well as within it. In 2014, he stepped into winemaking at Domaine d'Edouard, taking on the craft directly and moving closer to the vineyard and production cycle.
The Work Today
At Le Domaine d'Edouard in Vaux, France, Édouard Lepesme’s role is winemaker, with the cellar decisions and estate direction meeting in the same person. The work depends on accumulation rather than gesture: detail by detail, the wine is shaped through practical attention to balance, structure, and place. From Vaux, France, he continues to work with both sides of the trade in view — production on one side, market knowledge on the other.
Signature
La colline blanche and La Grue Rosée sit among Édouard’s signature wines and give a direct reading of his work at Le Domaine d'Edouard. They mark the range his cellar is associated with and the style that carries through the domaine’s portfolio. As named wines, they are the clearest references for the direction he brings to the estate.

The 2014 appointment at Domaine d'Edouard in Vaux-Auxerre is the key marker in Édouard Lepesme’s professional record. It fixed his move from commercial specialist to winemaker and gave formal shape to the work that had been building across his earlier years in the wine industry.
