Emul Ross is the winemaker at Hamilton Russell Vineyards in the Hemel-en-Aarde Valley near Hermanus, South Africa, where he has been credited with leading the cellar since 2015 and making the estate’s Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. A South African Wine News profile says he was already in the role by 2021 and that he had thrived there since starting in September 2014, while Hamilton Russell Vineyards’ own site identifies him in its media and wine pages as the estate’s winemaker. The estate is known for terroir-driven Pinot Noir and Chardonnay and is regarded as a South African benchmark producer of these varieties.
