Since 2019, Ferdinand Ruelle-Dudel has been managing director of Champagne Franck Bonville, and since 2020 he has served as director and co-manager alongside Olivier Bonville. The work is not about reinventing the wheel so much as protecting a style already defined by the family, while bringing to it a fresh outlook shaped by his own professional past.

Where They Are Now

Today, Ferdinand’s place inside Champagne Franck Bonville is both practical and symbolic: he works within a house built around Chardonnay from the Côte des Blancs, where the terrain and the grape are the estate’s character. The estate works with 15 hectares of Chardonnay in the Côte des Blancs, a compact but focused holding that asks for close attention in both vineyard and cellar. That attention is directed toward well-balanced blanc de blancs, wines made with meticulous care at every stage. The emphasis is on steadiness and finesse, on preserving a recognizable house style while keeping the wines precise and composed.
