Germán Bruzzone

Germán Bruzzone is the enologist and lead winemaker at Bodega Garzón in Maldonado, Uruguay, where he joined the project in 2009 and later helped oversee the winery’s production alongside consultant winemaker Alberto Antonini. Bodega Garzón’s official site says he comes from a multigenerational wine family in Canelones, studied at the Escuela Superior de Enología y Viticultura Tomás Berreta, graduated as a Professional Sommelier in 2009, and had earlier winemaking roles at Don Cristóbal 1492 and Bodega Spinoglio. He was named Winemaker of the Year by Patricio Tapia’s Guía Descorchados 2022, according to Bodega Garzón’s official announcement.
