Guillermo González Beristain

Guillermo González Beristáin is an Mexican chef, restaurateur, and vintner who revolutionized northern Mexican gastronomy by co-founding his flagship restaurant, Pangea, in San Pedro Garza García in 1998. An honors graduate of The Culinary Institute of America, he worked in Michelin-starred kitchens across Europe and the United States before leading Grupo Ambrosía in Mexico City. At Pangea, he pioneered a refined culinary idiom applying classical European techniques to regional Mexican ingredients, earning a Michelin star and regular placement on Latin America's 50 Best Restaurants list. He received the Diners Club Lifetime Achievement Award from Latin America's 50 Best Restaurants.
