i. Biography
Héctor Durigutti is an Argentine winemaker, viticulturist, and co-proprietor of Durigutti Family Winemakers, based at Finca Victoria in Las Compuertas, Luján de Cuyo, Mendoza. Born in Rivadavia, Mendoza, he studied at the Escuela Vitivinícola Don Bosco and gained early renown as a founding winemaker at Altos Las Hormigas. In 2002, he co-founded Durigutti Family Winemakers with his brother Pablo, pioneering native yeast fermentation, heritage vine conservation, and organic viticulture. He and Pablo were named Winemakers of the Year by Tim Atkin MW.
