    i. Biography

    Hubert de Boüard de Laforest was born in 1956 in Saint-Émilion and grew up at Château Angélus, where he worked in the vineyards and cellar before returning to the family property in 1980 and taking over management of the estate in 1985. He is co-owner of Château Angélus and a winemaking consultant, including in connection with the St.-Émilion classification case reported by Wine Spectator.
