James McBride

James McBride is the co-founder and CEO of NIHI Hotels, the hospitality brand behind NIHI Sumba in Indonesia. NIHI’s official history says he partnered with Chris Burch in the acquisition of NIHI, and identifies him as co-founder and CEO; the site also says he began his career at The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company and spent 14 years there before moving into hotel entrepreneurship. NIHI further states that, over the past twelve years, he has helped the property earn major industry recognition, including being named Best Hotel in the World by Travel + Leisure for two consecutive years and a place on the inaugural World’s 50 Best Hotels list.
