Janet Wei is the chef-owner of Janet's Pontypridd, a Chinese and Korean restaurant in Pontypridd, Wales, which began in Pontypridd Indoor Market in 2019 and later moved to a permanent site on Church Street/Market Building. She is described in coverage as a former flight attendant and luxury hotel worker who grew up in northeast China/Yanbian, learned to cook for her family as a child, and brought family recipes and North Asian flavors to Pontypridd. Janet's won the 2021 British Street Food Awards Champion title, adding national recognition to the restaurant's market-to-storefront expansion.
