Since 2012, Black Button Distilling has been shaped by Jason Barrett in three linked roles: founder, Master Distiller, and president. That combination keeps the work close to the bench and the business, with the distillery built around a direct point of view on how spirits should be made. The weight of that continuity comes from the way the company and the maker have remained joined. At Black Button Distilling, Barrett has stayed central to both the daily standard and the larger direction of the house, using the same practical commitment that launched the distillery to keep it defined.

Today

At the Rochester distillery, Barrett is still the founder and Master Distiller. The role keeps Black Button Distilling tied to the standard set in 2012, with craft and character remaining the terms by which the work is presented.

Signature

Jason's signature wines include Four Grain Bourbon, Citrus Forward Gin, Bespoke Bourbon Cream, and Apple Pie Moonshine. Together, these names sketch the range of the Black Button Distilling portfolio and the breadth of Barrett’s focus, moving from bourbon to gin to cream liqueur and moonshine.
