    Jean-François Piège, born in Valence, Drôme, trained at the hôtel school in Tain l'Hermitage and apprenticed under chefs like Bruno Cirino and Alain Ducasse, rising to executive chef at Plaza Athénée (2000-2003) where he earned his first Michelin stars and at Les Ambassadeurs in Hôtel de Crillon (2004-2009), named Gault&Millau Cuisinier de l'Année. In 2014, he and his wife Elodie opened Clover in Saint-Germain-des-Prés, Paris, followed by Le Grand Restaurant in Paris's 8th arrondissement in 2015, which received 2 Michelin stars. He is known for 'Mijotés Modernes' signature dishes emphasizing French gastronomic heritage.
