i. Biography
Jo Seung-hyun is the chef-owner of SAN in Seoul’s Gangnam district, which he opened in 2024 after returning to Korea from San Francisco. Before launching SAN, he spent eight years as chef de cuisine at Benu in San Francisco and earlier worked at The French Laundry and La Maison Troisgros, shaping the restaurant’s French-influenced modern Korean tasting menu.
