i. Biography
John Wesley is the chef and co-owner of Kiln in San Francisco’s Hayes Valley, which opened in 2023 with Julianna Yang as his partner. Kiln’s official team page says he was born and raised in San Jose, trained in the Bay Area and New York, and worked under James Syhabout at Commis, Bruno Chemel at Baumé, and Fredrik Berselius at the reopening of Aska before returning to San Francisco to lead Sons & Daughters as Chef de Cuisine. He later left Sons & Daughters in early 2023 to open Kiln.
