i. Biography
Luis Hurtado de Amézaga is the technical director of Marqués de Riscal’s Rueda winery and a sixth-generation member of the family behind the historic estate. He is overseeing production in Rueda and note that he began working at the winery in 1992, after training in agriculture and enology. He is associated with Marqués de Riscal’s work in Rueda, including Verdejo-focused production and the estate’s ecological transition efforts.
