i. Biography
Álvaro García is a co-founder and former operational-management leader of Rayo Cocktail Bar in Mexico City’s Roma Norte, a bar at Salamanca 85 that was recognized as the Best New Opening at North America’s 50 Best Bars 2023 and later ranked fifth in North America’s 50 Best Bars. He is coming from northern Spain and having prior luxury-hotel experience at The Ritz-Carlton in Shanghai, Four Seasons in Miami and Costa Rica, and Fifty Mils in Mexico City before Rayo. In 2024, reports said García departed Rayo after helping launch the bar in January 2022.
