i. Biography
Dr. Manfred Prüm is a German winemaker and co-proprietor of Weingut Joh. Jos. Prüm in Bernkastel-Wehlen in the Mosel region. Taking over the estate in 1969 following the passing of his father Sebastian, he the family winery into one of the world's premier producers of long-lived, terroir-driven Mosel Riesling. He was named German Winemaker of the Year (Winzer des Jahres) by Gault & Millau.
