Manuel García

Manuel García, known professionally as Manuel Costiña, is the chef and leader of Retiro da Costiña in Santa Comba, A Coruña, where he represents the third generation of the family restaurant founded in 1939. He took over the business from his father, Jesús García, and has modernized the restaurant’s traditional Galician cooking while remaining rooted in the family house’s identity. In 2024, Retiro da Costiña earned its second Michelin star, with García publicly identified as the chef behind the restaurant.
