Masato Nishihara

Fukuoka-born and Tokyo-raised Masato Nishihara is the chef-owner of Tsukumo in Nara. Born in 1977, he trained for ten years at Kyoto Kitcho, worked at Touma in Karuizawa, became the opening executive chef of New York's Kajitsu in 2009, and later worked at Umu in London before opening Tsukumo in 2015.
