Enology and agraria training brought Matej Fiegl into the working vocabulary of the Fiegl winery, where the younger generation of the Fiegl winemaking family has taken up the same site and its discipline in Oslavia. Associated with Fiegl Vini in Friuli, he works from a line of practice shaped by family continuity and place.

The Work Today

At the family operation in Oslavia, the vineyards are managed with minimal environmental impact, a standard Matej Fiegl ties directly to output and vine capacity. His own framing is practical: the crop is held to what the grapevine can carry, rather than pushed beyond it.

Ribolla Gialla sits within Matej Fiegl’s signature repertory, anchoring the family’s work at Fiegl winery in a grape long tied to the area.
