The Path

Training at Stellenbosch University gave Megan van der Merwe the base from which to work across the estate’s full cycle. At Beau Constantia, South Africa, that grounding translated into a role that refuses to split vineyard, cellar, and administration into separate silos. As General Manager, winemaker, and viticulturist, she works inside the links between cultivation, production, and leadership. The progression is less about a single lane than about keeping the whole operation in view.

The Work Today

The present role keeps those same three disciplines in play. Megan van der Merwe moves between the vineyard, the cellar, and the management of the estate, with each part informing the next. That kind of span shapes the work itself: practical where it needs to be, strategic where it has to be, and always tied to the demands of one site.
