Michele Zambanini is the Executive Chef of Villa d’Este in Cernobbio, on Lake Como, and has overseen the hotel’s dining program since 2011. Villa d’Este’s official materials identify him as the chef behind Veranda, the hotel’s elegant main restaurant, and as the leader of the property’s three restaurants: Veranda, Grill, and Il Platano. Secondary sources further describe him as the chef running La Veranda at Villa d’Este, with a cooking style centered on refined Italian tradition and seafood-forward dishes.
