Moustafa El Refaey

Moustafa El Refaey is the executive chef, co-founder, and partner of Zooba, the Egyptian street-food restaurant brand that opened its first branch in Zamalek, Cairo in 2012. He is a U.S.-trained chef who found his for cooking through his grandmother in Tanta, Egypt, and later returned to Egypt after culinary training and work in the United States., Zooba’s Zamalek location was recognized by the Middle East & North Africa’s 50 Best Restaurants list, and El Refaey received the Chefs’ Choice Award.
