Since 2008, Paulo Nunes has been winemaker at Casa da Passarella in Lagarinhos. He traces his beginning to vineyard country: “I was born in the demarcated region of the Douro – a major river in the Iberian Peninsula – where there was a family tradition of cultivating the vineyard.” The work is framed with restraint: “The wine is difficult to make, but simple in its elegance.”
