i. Biography
Pedro Sánchez is a Spanish chef from Jaén who is the chef-owner of Bagá, his solo restaurant in the San Ildefonso area of Jaén, which opened in 2017 and earned a Michelin star the following year. He trained at the Escuela de Hostelería La Laguna in Baeza and worked for years in notable kitchens including Casa Antonio in Jaén, Martín Berasategui in Lasarte, Tragabuches in Ronda, and Château de Bagnols in France before launching Bagá. In 2026, he was recognized by the Real Academia de Gastronomía with the Premio Nacional de Gastronomía al Mejor Jefe de Cocina.
