Philippe Baillarguet is the cellar master at Château Ausone in Saint-Émilion, a role he has held since 1997, and he also produces his own wine project, Clos des Baies, which began in 2006 and reached production with a first cuvée in 2010. Sources describing Clos des Baies identify him as the proprietor or vigneron behind the wine, and the project is tied to Saint-Émilion’s right-bank terroir and organic-minded viticulture.
