Alain Vauthier

Alain Vauthier is the long-time proprietor and manager of Château Ausone in Saint-Émilion, where he has also been involved in winemaking since the 1970s. The Vauthier family’s official history says he is a native of Libourne who began working on the family estates in the 1970s, and that the family now oversees Château Ausone, Château La Clotte, Château Moulin-Saint-Georges, Château Haut-Simard, Château Simard, and Château de Fonbel.
