The Path

Since 2000, Stefano Granata has been the founder and winemaker of Azienda Agricola I Luoghi, and that dual role has set the estate’s direction from the start. The work is built on vineyard decisions made early and carried through with the same discipline into the cellar, where each step is measured against the wine’s eventual shape. His presence at the estate has remained constant: a working hand across vineyard and bottle, keeping the project aligned to a clear standard.

The Work Today

At Azienda Agricola I Luoghi, Stefano’s work is defined by continuity across the estate rather than by separate disciplines. The vineyard sets the terms, and the cellar extends them, with attention paid to balance, texture, and the character each parcel brings forward. That method favors restraint over display, and it relies on the accumulated judgment that comes from working the same ground over time. Since the earliest days of the estate, that outlook has remained the basis of the work.

Signature

Stefano's signature wines include Podere Ritorti, Campo al Fico, Sassosolo, Fuorisolco, and Franco. Together, they sketch the range of his winemaking voice: each name distinct, yet all bound to the same underlying commitment to expressing place with clarity. They are the wines through which his work is most readily encountered, and they reflect the estate’s ongoing conversation with the Bolgheri landscape.
