    i. Biography

    Stephen Henschke is the fifth-generation owner and winemaker of Henschke, the Barossa Valley family winery founded in 1868, and he has served as winemaker and managing director since 1979. He and Prue Henschke purchased the Lenswood property in the Adelaide Hills in 1981 and developed it as a vineyard site, which now supplies several Henschke wines. Henschke’s official site also lists awards including Wine Spectator’s Choice Award and SA regional wine recognition for his work.
