i. Biography
Young Hoon Ji is the chef and co-owner of Mhel at 276 Havelock St. in Toronto’s Bloorcourt neighborhood, where he leads a daily changing Korean-Japanese menu with his partner Seung-Min Yi. Mhel is their first restaurant, opened in 2023, and notes Ji’s prior stints at Ichie in Seoul and Toronto restaurants including Pompette and Grey Gardens.
