The estate in Nick Brown's hands

The vineyard work stays close to the cellar at All Saints Estate in Wahgunyah, where Nick Brown works as vigneron in Rutherglen. Brown is owner here, and that word matters less as title than as station: he carries the estate through vineyard care, cellar decisions, and the seasonal reading that comes only by returning to the same rows. His work also reaches St Leonards Vineyard in Wahgunyah, keeping him inside one district rather than scattering his attention across regions. Fortified memory and estate breadth

The estate farms 47.9 hectares of vineyards and produces 22,000 dozen bottles annually, with antique vines over 85 years old. The range gives Brown room to work across Rutherglen's older fortified language and its still-wine register: Muscat, Muscadelle, Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Marsanne, Durif, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Riesling, Pinot Gris, Pinot Grigio, Prosecco, and Rosé all sit within the house's stated field. His signature set makes the breadth legible rather than merely broad. The Great Hall and the cellar door

The property gives the work a theatrical shell without asking the wine to become theatre. The castle-shaped building sits among manicured English gardens and vineyard views on the Murray River, with 4,500 square metres of buildings arranged around hospitality and cellar history. In The Great Hall, 100-year-old oak casks hold the fortified past in physical form; nearby, the modernised cellar door turns the estate toward the present with a large wrap-around bar and acoustics that allow conversation to stay conversational. The room is refined, but not brittle. Warm service matters in a place where guests may arrive for the architecture and stay long enough to understand the range.

What Rutherglen asks of the estate

Rutherglen gives All Saints a vocabulary already weighted toward Muscat, Muscadelle, Durif, patient ageing, and the cellar's long memory. Brown's task is not to make that inheritance louder. It is to keep it usable, through vines, casks, and bottles that can still carry the district forward.
