Champagne Georges Remy

Georges Rémy’s vineyards run through Bouzy, Tauxières, Ambonnay and Louvois. The Association des Champagnes Biologiques lists 4.3 hectares of Pinot Noir and one hectare of Chardonnay. These figures describe the vineyard, not a uniform grape proportion for each cuvée.

Farming and cellar scope

The association lists 5.30 hectares certified organic, representing 85% of the estate’s total area, and names 2018 as its first certified harvest. This is a scoped certification claim; it should not be extended to the entire vineyard. The profile describes barrel vinification and fine-lees ageing for both Champagne and Coteaux Champenois.

From place to bottle

Bouzy is the winery address, but the four-village spread and separate wine categories give a broader view of the work. The vineyard’s Pinot Noir majority cannot stand in for a bottle-specific blend. Visits require an appointment with the estate.
